Course description |
Status: elective course for all of the 3rd-/ 4th-year students, required by some departments The purpose of this course is to provide students with opportunities to read a wide variety of topics in scientific and technological fields in English. Students will also learn how to extract information and critically read academic journals and articles. |
Expected Learning |
Course Goals / Objectives: The goal of the course is for students to develop their critical thinking skills and improve reading speed by reading a variety of academic texts in English. Students will have opportunities to share opinions on these texts through discussion with classmates. |

In this class, I will show you how scientific English is organized. Class 1. Guidance Class 2. Biology 1(basics) Class 3. Biology 2(advanced) Class 4. Physics Class 5. Chemistry 1(basics) Class 6. Chemistry 2(advanced) Class 7. Machine Mechanics Class 8. Medicine 1(basics) Class 9. Medicine 2(advanced) Class 10. Informatics Class 11. News: Current Topics 1(basics) Class 12. News: Current Topics 2(advanced) Class 13. News: Current Topics 3(high level) Class 14. Mathematics Class 15. Summary Exam The contents and order might be changed, depending on students’ interests. |

In addition to 30 hours in the classes, students are recommended to prepare for and review the classes, spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University. |
