Course description
Status: elective course for all of the 3rd-/ 4th-year students, required by some departments
The purpose of this course is to provide students with opportunities to read a wide variety of topics in scientific and technological fields in English. Students will also learn how to extract information and critically read academic journals and articles.
Expected Learning
Course Goals / Objectives:
The goal of the course is for students to develop their critical thinking skills and improve reading speed by reading a variety of academic texts in English. Students will have opportunities to share opinions on these texts through discussion with classmates.

Class participation: 15% (Students must attend at least 2/3 of a course in order to receive a credit for the course.)
quiz-style tests & Final Test: 85%(to access the basic knowledge of critical thinking)
