Course description |
In order to understand robots, latest automobile technology, information equipment, and mechanical systems such as space stations, knowledge of electronic engineering along with mechanical engineering, especially knowledge of digital circuits essential for digital equipment including computers is important. For that purpose, firstly we will learn basic gate circuit operation and combinatorial logic circuit combining them. Furthermore, after studying the concept of information storage by flip-flop circuit, learning the interface and other interface such as AD, DA conversion essential to control of counter and register as its application, learning about computer structure and its operation To do. |
Expected Learning |
(1) Understand the vector representation of the moment of force and the calculation method by cross product, and analyze the rotation action acting in three dimensional space. (2) It is possible to understand the relevance between the center of gravity and the center of gravity and to find the position of the center of gravity of a complex shape 2D / 3D object. (3) Understand the principle of virtual work and apply it to derive the relationship of multiple forces acting |
Course schedule |
(1)Introduction (2)Unit system (3)Static point of mass point (2Dplane) (4)Static point of mass point (3Dspace) (5)Rigid body dynamics (6)Balance of force working on the rigid body (7)Distributed force (2Dplane) (8)Distribution force (3Dspace) (9)Structure Analysis 1 (10)Structure Analysis 2 (11)Beam, the force acting on the cable (12)Friction (13)Centroid and moment of inertia (14)Virtual Work Principle (15)Summary |
Prerequisites |
Knowledge of the dynamics and vectors of physics learned in high school. It is the basis of subjects of mechanical system motion, analysis and design. |

Assessment/Grading |
The grade evaluation in this online class is premised on all attendances, and comprehensively evaluates the attitude to learn, quizzes, report, and online tests. Standard study time set by the our university is required to get the grade. The rate of evaluation is as follows: Normal score: 10%, assignment test: 30%, and online test: 60%. Grade will be given according to the following criteria by comprehensive evaluation. However, it might be changed due to the social situation: S: 90 points or more, A: 80 or more and less than 90 points, B: 70 or more and less than 80 points, C: 60 or more and less than 70 points. |
Message from instructor(s) |
Static is important as a basis for analysis and design of mechanical systems. Since you will learn essential knowledge to deal with complex problems of three dimensions, please come to class and be sure to understand. Stacking and exercises are important for dynamics. It is useful for asking questions yourself, listening frequently to the questions others ask, and discussing again. Please deepen your understanding through this lesson. |
