Course description |
The purpose of this subject is to learn basic knowledge of medical science and engineering for understanding various medical devices, their principles, usages, and safeties. Therefore, it is a required subject for students learning biomedical engineering. This course corresponds to the technology speciality courses of the curriculum of the Department of Biomedical engineering. |
Expected Learning |
Learners who successfully complete this course will be able to understand physiological and physical properties of the human body; the basics of biomedical engineering; essential principles of safety and performance of medical devices. Prerequisites |
This is part of the specialized fundamental course, and its completion is recommended for students in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. In addition to 30 hours that students spend in the class, students are recommended to prepare for and revise the lectures, spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University and using the lecture handouts as well as the references specified below. |
