Course description |
The purpose is to understand the principles regarding mechanical systems design and drawing based on Japanese industrial Standards (JIS), to know the applications in the industry and to enhance the ability of manufacturing. The lecturer of this course has the firsthand experiences on design and drawing in various corporates, and will describe actual examples from industry for case-studies, analyses and discussion. |
Expected Learning |
The standard of this lecture is to understand the drawing way of mechanical systems as following: Dimensioning, dimensional tolerance and fit, geometric tolerance, surface roushness Mechanical elements (screws, gears, shafts, bearings, etc.) Various symbols (welding symbol, material symbol) To understand the design following the procedure below Strength calculation of mechanical equipment, drawing of mechanical equipment |

1. Lecture of "Basics of drawing, how to express drawing" and drawing practice of "track diagram" 2. Lecture of "Dimension writing method, surface roughness and its writing method" and drawing training of "tool (spanner)" 3. Lecture of "Dimensional tolerance and fitting, geometrical tolerance and normal tolerance" and drawing training of "tool (spanner)" 4. Lecture of "Drawing method of screw and gear" and drafting c "spur gear" 5. Lecture of "Drawing method of shaft, bearing" and drawing training of "shaft" 6.
