Course description
Basic concept and methodology of the first law and the second law of thermodynamics have been learned in the lecture of Thermodynamics Mechanics.
In this lecture, it will be learned how those apply in the actual engineering field.
Moreover, it will be learned about exergy and the qualitative evaluation method of energy.
It will be also learned about the thermodynamic evaluation method of various heat engines and cycles.
The lecture is given twice per week. A lecture and an exercise are carried out by turns.
Expected Learning
The treatment of real gas should be understood.
The energy balance of the closed system and the open system should be understood.
Entropy change of the closed system and the open system should be calculated.
The exergy balance of the closed system and the open system should be understood.
The change of a cycle should be understood.
