Course description |
This lecture demonstrates some algorithms and modeling methods in Operations Research (OR). In this class, students will learn: -- how to build a mathematical model for a practical problem; -- how to solve a mathematical model for solutions. Topics of this class include: -- stable matching, -- scheduling, -- mathematical optimization, -- reliability engineering, -- queueing theory. |

Prerequisites |
Linear algebra, Statistics, Algorithm theory. In addition to 30 hours that students spend in the class, students are recommended to prepare for and revise the lectures, spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University and using the lecture handouts as well as the references specified below. |
