Course description

This class lectures on the topics related to measurement and control with compuuters.

Expected Learning

Learn about measurement error, noise, and mechanism of digital and analog measurement. Earn skills to model systems, analyze systems, and design a controller for systems. See the Curriculum maps.

Course schedule

The order may change depending on the situation. 1. Introduction of measurement, unit and error. 2. Measurement of electrical quantities. 3. A/D conversion and sampling. 4. Noise. 5. Signal processing. 6. Applied measurement system. 7. Exercise. Mid-term examination. 8. Introduction of of feedback control. 9. Block diagram. 10. Frequency property and stability. 11. Responsivity and steady-state property. 12. Numerical control. 13. Applied control system. 14. Exercise. 15. Exercise. Terminal examination.

Prerequisites

In addition to 30 hours in the class and the activities described above, students are recommended to prepare for and revise the classes spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University.
