Course description
The purpose of this lecture is to provide students with the knowledge needed to understand the latest outcomes of science concerning natural resources and eco-materials in the field of natural environmental resources sciences.
This lecture introduces the knowledge of characteristics of wood, methods for environmental activity such as utilization of natural resources and those for environmental enlightenment by Sato and Nakaba.
Expected Learning
Understanding the relationship between tissue structure and wood property.
Learning basics and methods of instruction on environmental practices for highschool students and citizens.

Leadership training for educator of Project WILD Science And Civics, including stractures of cooperative learning, hands on learning, activities of environmental education and project based learning.

Wood have various properties. This lecture provides an overview of the relationship between tissue structure and wood property. In addition, the lecture also introduces characteristics of heartwood and its formation.

3. Relationship between tissue structure and wood property in hardwood
4. Heartwood and it's formation

Prerequisites
This lecture is an elective subject, and is one of the specialized subjects.

Students need to preview and review for an amount of time as indicated in the student guidelines of TUAT, in addition to the attendance of lecture (8 hours).
