Course description |
Lectures given by the expert gerontologists in Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Gerontology. The internal and environmental components are major player for the aging processes besides the genetic information of individuals. In this course, we will review the elderly’s physiological responses to environmental factors in the aspects of physiology, cells and molecules. |

To understand the basic terms and concepts given in lectures. To understand the role of physiological phenomena mentioned in lectures. Prerequisites |
It is preferable for students to prerequisite basic biology, basic biochemistry, basic molecular biology, and basic biophysics. In addition to the lectures in the class, you are recommended to prepare and review the class using the standard amount of time as specified by the university for each class. |
