Course description
In this course, synthesis of biologically active natural and unnatural compounds will be described.
The topics are selected from the top journal in this field (JACS and Angewandte), and students will learn cutting edge science in this field.
In the second half of this course, students will be required short presentation of natural product synthesis, which is given in the journal.
Finally, elucidation of the mode of actions for the natural product will be discussed.
Expected Learning
Learn the basics of biomolecular reactions involving proteins, nucleic acids, and coenzymes. In addition, students will gain the ability to understand cutting-edge research on biomolecular reactions and communicate them easily to researchers in other specialized fields.
