November 24 (Tue) 25 (Wed), 2020 09:00〜16:00 * The method of course holding is under arrangement for Day1 and online (zoom) for Day2. The details will be informed to the registered students. * There will be assignments before the class. * Since this course includes group work, students need microphone and camera in principle, and they will be required to turn on the videos during the class to show their faces. They can use vertical backgrounds. In the case of face-to-face: [Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology] 2nd Conference room, 4th floor of Main building at Graduate School of Agricultural Science at Fuchu campus Students at Ibaraki University, Utsunomiya University can join by Zoom. “Agriculture, environment, and energy in the world” In order to be an innovative and global Ph.D. holder, you should know the real situation in the world. In this course, students learn the situation, challenges, and counter actions in agriculture, environment, and energy of the world through the lectures by people working globally. This will be an opportunity for the students to consider how they can locate their research in the world, how they can utilize them, and also reevaluate their thinking whether they are truly objective and scientific. Students also train their abilities of communication, discussion, and debate in English. This course will be held in English. |
Expected Learning |
- Understand the situation, challenges, and counter actions related to agriculture, environment, and energy in the world. - Find the related point between those global issues and your research, and position your research. - Reconsider your thoughts and opinions always, and be able to express them persuasively bade on objectivity and science in the global environment. - Be able to communicate, discuss, and debate in English.
