Course description
In this lecture, we aim to acquire the teaching method in clinical practice in more practical information education by mixing classroom lecture and PBL: Project Based Learning. However, based on the lesson curriculum for beginners, we will give lessons for students who will be high school information science teachers in the future while explaining many practical examples in the educational field.
Expected Learning
1) Understanding of the contents of the education of Information II
2) Can formulate a lesson plan for Information I and conduct a mock lesson
3) In the PBL, effective, optimal solutions can be derived by thinking, speaking, and discussing independently and autonomously within the group.
Course schedule
Day 1 (Lecture location: Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology)
1st hour: Explanation of the overall structure of the "Guidance and Information Education Act I" lecture and how to proceed. Understanding the actual situation at the educational site
Second Hours: Basic understanding of teaching materials for high school information course "Information II" teacher training (published by MEXT)
3rd hour: Current situation and problems related to the development of ICT infrastructure at educational sites (guest lecturer)
4th hour: Practice of problem-solving class by group using PBL, preparation of presentation materials
Fifth hour: Understanding the current situation through PBL problem solving, suggesting improvements, presenting and discussing [Evaluation I]

2nd day (Lecture location: PC room, Shibaura Institute of Technology junior high school high school, 6-2-7 Toyosu, Koto-ku)
6th hour: Acquisition of lesson methods such as teaching methods, teaching materials, lesson preparation, etc. from practical examples at the educational site

7th and 8th hours: Experience of the content of the lesson currently practiced in the lesson at the educational site
・ Programming learning in scratch
・ Educational version of robot control programming using LEGO Mindstorms EV3
Autonomous flight control programming learning using ・ swift and drone
・ Homepage production learning using HTML / CSS
9th hour: Practice of problem-solving lesson by group using PBL (creation of lesson plan) Submission [Evaluation 1]
10th hour: Creating lesson materials and preparing presentation materials for a mock lesson

Day 3 (Lecture location: Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology)
11th to 13th hours: Practice class, but with power point (20 minutes per person), discussion [Evaluation ③]
14th hour: Summary of effective information education methods
15th hour: Preparation and submission of assignment report as final exam [Evaluation 1]
Prerequisites
Those who aim to obtain a teacher's license in the "Information" subject.
