Course description
(Osada)
A first half part of this intensive course provides students with mainly legislative structures and current experiences of waste management. Students will learn to recognize the restrictions on ongoing recycling and proper disposals of waste and to develop abilities to provide your own opinions on desired measures to solve the subjects.
(Konno)
Utilization of renewable biomass resources is key technology to build circulatory society. In this lecture, students learn the properties of plant biomass and its biological degradation.
Expected Learning
(Osada)
Learners who successfully complete will be able to:
(1) Recognize the present framework and current situations of waste management: C~A
(2) Exemplify the specific current restrictions on waste management: B~A
(3) Propose own ideas regarding the solutions to solve the problems and the future ideal waste management: A~S
(Konno)
The students are expected to understand basics of wood biodegradation mechanisms and to be able to think out the effective utilization of plant biomass.
