Course description
From the observation result of the physical phenomenon, students learn how to comprehend the law that they lurk behind the phenomenon and summarize the results as a report.
Expected Learning
By conducting experiments on various physical phenomena and treating them quantitatively, understanding the latent behind the phenomenon from observation results of phenomena, acquiring the way of thinking and method of physics and summarizing them as reports To master the method.

Course schedule
In this experiment, students are divided into two groups (Group A and Group B).

1. Guidance and how to writing report (Groups A and B)

2. Motion of trolley and gravitational acceleration (Group A)
3. Motion of trolley and gravitational acceleration (Group B)
Learn about gravity, the basis of physical phenomena.
Record the movement of the bogie that moves on the slope and caluculate the gravitational acceleration.

4. Basics of Measurement and Handling of Measured Values (Group A)
5. Basics of Measurement and Handling of Measured Values (Group B)
Learn about caliper and balance handling and measurement errors.

6. Measurement of Young's Modulus of Metallic Materials by Bending Loading Method (Group A)
7. Measurement of Young's modulus of metallic materials by bending loading method (Group B)
Learn about elasticity, the basis of material mechanics. The bending Young's modulus of the metal bar is determined by the loading method.

8. Joule heat measurement and heat work equivalent (Group A)
9. Joule heat measurement and heat work equivalent (Group B)
Learn the relationship between current and voltage, resistance and heat energy, which are the basis of electricity. The work equivalent of heat is measured from the electric-energy relationship (Joule's law).

10. Wavelength measurement of laser beam by diffraction (Group A)
11. Wavelength measurement of laser beam by diffraction (Group B)
Measure the wavelength of the wave (light) using a steel rule or diffraction grating.

12. Explanation of experiments and reports (1) Basics of measurement and handling of measured values (Groups A and B)
13 Explanation of experiment and report (2) Motion of trolley and gravitational acceleration and Joule heat measurement and heat work equivalent (Groups A and B)
14. Explanation of experiment and report (3) Measurement of Young's modulus of metallic material by bending loading method (Groups A and B)
15. Explanation of experiment and report (4) Wavelength measurement of laser beam by diffraction (Groups A and B)
Prerequisites
It is desirable to take physics.
Required Text(s) and Materials
