Course description |
To learn historical changes in crop production systems with special attention to soil and consider future sustainable soil use. During this process, basic knowledge in soil science will be transferred. |
Expected Learning |
Soil is a basis for crop production and then a life. To learn soil fertility, contribution of synthetic chemicals (fertilizers and pesticides), organic agriculture, yield losses caused by monoculture, nitrate pollution, greenhouse gases emissions in our soil management and consider how to use soil sustainably. Corresponding criteria in the Diploma Policy: See the Curriculum maps. (URL: https://www.tuat.ac.jp/campuslife_career/campuslife/policy/ ) |
