Course description
The introduction of this course is the modern aspects of transformation-Culture (the development of communication), Economics (the subsumption under the world capitalism system), Politics (the possibility of global-governance) -.
This cause will examine the focuses of globalization-democracy and democratization-. For example, we deal with “Nation-State territorial democracy”, arms, economics, environmental risk, women’s participation, universal human right, democratic control of multinational enterprises, Europe Union (EU), transformation of United Nations, and rethinking of democracy theory etc… The goal of this course is the retrial of “Nation-State” and the recompositing International Cooperation theory.


Expected Learning
International Cooperation include economics and largely culture, society, politics. The theme of this year presupposes that “What is globalization”. Today, people talk about 《the end of liberal democracy?》and inquire about neo-liberal globalization. On the other hand, they grope for Global-Democracy. Sharing our understanding of the times is very important.
