Course description
The goal of this course is to understand the problems of arid land, Arid land take up 41.3% of the land surface. The total arid lands population is 2.1 billion, 36% of global population. Desertification is one of the environmental problem in the world. In this class, we introduce the characteristic and importance of agriculture in arid land. It is understood the agriculture in arid land and desertification. Students will discuss the results and learn how to start doing independent research of arid land agriculture. This course is offered in English.
Expected Learning
Students who successfully complete this course will be able to understand the mechanisms of arid land agriculture and desertification. This course is offered in English.
