Course description
The purpose of this course is to introduce ethical themes to students with specific examples in the modern society.
It aimes to equip students with the sense of ethics, and the ability to think flexibly about ethical issues in their daily lives.
Students are required to write down their opinion every class, then I will introduce some of them in next class to share various points of views.
This course is offered as one of the Humanities and Socical Sciences courses of the Global Liberal Arts Studies.
Expected Learning
(1)Being equipped with the basic knowledge about ethics.
(2)Understanding ethical issues in our society.
(3)Being able to develop participants' own ideas about ethical aspects in the modern society.

Assessment/Grading
・class participation 60%:students' questions and comments during the class、contribution to discussion, and comment sheets are taken into account.
・Exam 40%:to assess basic knowledge and understanding on ethics and its application to social issues

As long as we live, we face ethical issues in our daily lives. In most of these issues, there are NO RIGHT ANSEWERS.
So I would like to lead each of you to think about these issues by yourselves, and experience ethical view of world.
