Course description
For the purpose of thinking about characters of natural science, this course surveys a historical development of natural science paying an attention to the social context.
Expected Learning
(1) Students will obtain a comprehensive image of science involving its history.
(2) Based on the above-mentioned knowledge, students will have their own attitude to science of their time.
(3) Students will describe their new image of science using their original sentences.

The exact date of the midterm examination will be announced 3 weeks before it will be done.
Three papers on given topics should be handed. Students must read at least one book of history of science except two textbooks.
Prerequisites
High school level knowledge of physics, chemistry and biology is required.
