Course description |
This course corresponds to “the specialized fundamental courses.” In Fundamentals of Systems Engineering, learn to capture the system from an engineering perspective, understand the relationship between the whole system and elements, and learn to express them with mathematical models. As a basis of the system analysis, we will learn the techniques of time series simulation, optimization calculation using linear programming, and system evaluation methods such as cost-benefit analysis. Classroom Code: xxgg7hb |
Expected Learning |
Students can understand the relationship between the entire system and the elements of the system, and acquire knowledge useful for system design and operation. Students can also learn about modeling techniques, time series simulations, optimization techniques using mathematical programming, and system evaluation techniques, and acquire the ability to solve problems using analysis techniques used in system engineering. Corresponding criteria in the Diploma Policy: See the Curriculum maps. |

Assessment/Grading |
The grade evaluation in this class is premised on all attendances, and comprehensively evaluates the attitude to learn, quizzes, report, and regular exam. Standard study time set by the our university is required to get the grade. The rate of evaluation is as follows: - Quizzes at each lesson(10%), - Reports(30%), - Final exam(60%). Grade will be given according to the following criteria by comprehensive evaluation: - S: 90 points or more, - A: 80 or more and less than 90 points, - B: 70 or more and less than 80 points, - C: 60 or more and less than 70 points. |
