Course description |
This lecture gives to students, in a simple form, the necessary fundamental knowledge on the theory of elasticity. Solutions of special problems which are of practical importance are also presented. |
Expected Learning |
The standard of this lecture is to understand basic concepts of metal elasticity and to derive and explain the basic equations used in the three dimensional elastic defomation analysis. Corresponding criteria in the Diploma Policy: See the Curriculum maps. |

Assessment/Grading |
Term-end exam: 100%; scores for mid-term reports will be added to the score of the term-end test. The grade evaluation in this online class is premised on all attendances, and comprehensively evaluates the attitude to learn, quizzes, report, and online tests. Standard study time set by the university is required to get the grade. The rate of evaluation is as follows: online quizzes and assignment tests: 50%, and online final test (term-end exam) 50%. Grade will be given according to the following criteria by comprehensive evaluation: S: 90 points or more, A: 80 or more and less than 90 points, B: 70 or more and less than 80 points, C: 60 or more and less than 70 points. |
