Course description |
Structural ceramics demonstrate a good performance in hardness, strength, chemical stability and so on, and they become very important materials in engineering view point. The knowledge about crystal structure and processing methods of ceramics are needed to understand these properties. The goal of this lecture is to learn the crystal structures and sintering methods of typical ceramics, and to understand thermal property, mechanical property, and electrical property with mechanism of these properties.
