Course description
Understand the basic knowledge of intellectual property required by engineers and researchers in agriculture and related fields, learn about the importance of intellectual property in agricultural field development and innovation, and what is protection. We look over the process of acquiring patents, study the protection of technical creation such as patents and utility models, learn the procedure of patent application, handling, risk management such as patent infringement.
Expected Learning
Students will obtain basic knowleges of intellectual properies and its applicaion for agriculture science

2: Various intellectual property (examples of agricultural field etc.) and its method of search (search method)
3: Protection of domestic and overseas intellectual property and its law
4: Patent system
5: Protection of plant varieties and biological patents
6: Copyrights and design ・ Trademark registration
7: Geographical indication protection system
8: Utilization and operation of intellectual property

Practice and review should be conducted with reference materials and handouts.
授業時間30時間に加え、配布した講義資料や参考書を参照し、本学の標準時間数に準ずる事前事後学習を行うこと。
Students need to preview and review for an amount of time as indicated in the student guidelines of TUAT, in addition to the attendance of lecture (30 hours).
