| Course description |
| Students compile the research results of each master's thesis, organize and analyze the information and data, display them in an easy-to-understand format such as figures and tables, and make their own interpretation. Students also make presentations at their laboratory and learn about the latest science by discussing with supervisors and other students. |
| Expected Learning |
|
Students are required to understand scientific logic on biological control science and plant protection science and have fundamental knowledge and application which is essential for exploring the subjects. With respect to the research ethics, students will compile and publish the research results and investigation by themselves. Also, with high level of professional competence, students will have wide view insightful perspective on social issues related to plant protection. Lesson plan (Each round is carried out in multiple frames according to contents) ・Introduction: Learn the importance of data collection and analysis. ・Students gather information based on the research concepts and research plan, share information, and receive advice from the main supervisor and related faculty professors. Also students make reports and presentations including data analysis and interpretation of results, and will obtain further feedback from the main supervisor. ・Final presentation in laboratory seminar Students will present about the results at their laboratory and discuss the applicability of the results. |
| Prerequisites |
| Related to subjects of the thesis, it is a required compulsory subject which is divided into special research A group. Subjects of special study group A open for April enrollment students, enrollees for October should take subjects of special study group B. Since the main subject of this course is analysis of the experimental data, the contents of one course will be more than two 90-minute lectures. Includes contents of more than 15 weeks of regular lessons. |
