Course description
This lecture consists of basic engineering, chemistry and physics related to particulate materials, and through "particle engineering", students will grasp "material function design". Students will learn about the unique physical properties of particulate materials, their measurement methods, dispersed particle systems, and actual examples of design and manufacturing processes for functional materials.
Expected Learning
Understand the molecules that "make up" particulate matter, chemical reactions and synthesis methods, the properties of particulate matter, and the functional design of related materials.
Course schedule
1. Size of matter
2. Properties of particulate matter (fine particles): properties of aggregates
3. Measurement of fine particles
4. Formation of fine particles and their properties
5. Technology for miniaturization of materials
6. Design and synthesis of materials: search for materials based on mine sites
7. Functionalization of materials and evaluation methods
Prerequisites
Some level of English proficiency is required.
