Course description |
This course is open for regular TUAT students and for STEP student also. This course is designed 1) to review the basic knowledges, such as the definition of stress and strain, the momentum equilibrium, and the strain compatibility, 2) to review the conversion rules between different coordinate system, 3) to understand the concept of stress function, 4) to know how to use stress function through case study. For the students in the field of materials science, this course will lead you to deeper understanding on the related topics, and for the students who are not familiar with the stress-strain concept, this course will help you to understand the basic knowledge for stress analysis. =========================== (added on Oct.4th, 2021) Just for Oct 5th, Zoom virtual room is used (the real classroom, L1213, is used for vaccination) Please refer to Zoom info in the topic, "Just for Oct 5th", of the Classroom. =========================== ( the description below is added on Sep.6th, 2021) Additional information will be given through Google Classroom. Please use the class-code, 3uo7dlr, or use the link, https://classroom.google.com/c/Mzg4NzAyNTkxNjA1?cjc=3uo7dlr to join that classroom. The official enrollement wil be needed through SPICA system. |
Expected Learning |
The participants will be able 1) to explain the basic knowledges, such as the definition of stress and strain, the momentum equilibrium, and the strain compatibility, 2) to show how to carry out the conversion rules between different coordinate system, 3) to explain the concept of stress function, 4) to show how to use stress function. * See the Curriculum maps. |
