Students are to develop presentation skills relevant in the field of biofunction engineering through poster or oral presentations at a scientific meeting or a conference. |

Course schedule |
Students will prepare their presentation materials either in a poster format or powerpoint slides in which they report their recent progress in their master’s thesis studies. Particular emphasis is placed on developing skills to effectively communicate on the topics at the frontiers in the field to audiences in academic community. Students will also learn how to actively engage in discussion during question and answer session following the presentation session. |

Assessment/Grading |
Students will be evaluated by their master’s thesis advisors for the course attendance, the presentation materials, their performances during the presentation session as well as the question and answer session.The grade evaluation in this online class is premised on all attendances, and comprehensively evaluates the attitude to learn, quizzes, report, and online tests. Standard study time set by the our university is required to get the grade. The rate of evaluation is as follows: Normal score: 30%, quizzes and assignment test, and online test: 70%. Grade will be given according to the following criteria by comprehensive evaluation: S: 90 points or more, A: 80 or more and less than 90 points, B: 70 or more and less than 80 points, C: 60 or more and less than 70 points. |
