Course description |
This course aims to explain the dynamics of mobility to advanced level. The mobility includes automobiles, mobile robots, railway vehicles, a vehicle that moves in planar motion or aircraft that moves in 3-D space. This course describes the concept of the coordinate system for vehicle motion analysis, the modeling of vehicle dynamics, stability, handling dynamics, vehicle performance, vehicle motion and vibration control, human-machine interface. |
Expected Learning |
The students can understand and calculate the vehicle motion characteristics and understand the mechanism of automotive control systems;chassis control. And it reachs to the semi-professional level. |
Course schedule |
1. Concept of mobility 2. Vehicle dynamics control (handling and Stability) 3. Vibration Control: Passive control, vibration characteristics, ride comfort 4. Conventional Suspension,Active Suspension, Skyhook control 5. Tyre (non linear characteristics) 6. Examination |
