Course description |
The purpose of this course is to improve academic skills and knowledge required for research and development. Based on the knowledge and skills provided in the previous course (Advanced Seminar on Electronic and Information Engineering I), students are expected to acquire further knowledge and skills required for carrying out more advanced research. |

Advice will be given according to each student's performance. -- Shinohara Lab. 1. guidance 2. individual introduction of their research topics / evaluation and advice 3. how to search previous studies [1] 4. how to search previous studies [2] 5. individual report on previous studies / evaluation and advice 6. citation and referencing 7. design of experiment / evaluation and advice 8. carrying out experiment / interim report 9. adjusting research design 10. improving method of experiment / evaluation and advice 11. individual report of their research result / evaluation and advice 12. how to write a paper [1] 13. how to write a paper [2] 14. rewriting individual paper / evaluation and advice 15. presentation Preparation and review will be necessary. |
Prerequisites |
Master-course-level knowledge of engineering are required. Students taking this particular course must belong to Shinohara Lab. In addition to 30 hours that students spend in the class, students are recommended to prepare for and review the lectures, spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University and using the lecture handouts as well as the references specified below. |

Assessment/Grading |
At the end of the term, there will be an interim presentation of the students' doctoral research. Evaluation will be based on this presentation (100%). This includes the research process (literature review, research design, revising the design, analysis, etc). |
