Course description
Diseases caused by lifestyle choices, such as eating or exercise habits, are known as lifestyle-related diseases. The most dcommon are diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and hyperuricemia.
Furthermore, cancer is also considered to be a lifestyle-related disease. By examining lifestyle-related diseases from different perspectives, students can gain insight into the relevance and universality of these diseases and obtain fundamental knowledge regarding countermeasures against them.
Expected Learning
Understand the pathogenic mechanism of these lifestyle-related diseases from the level of genes, molecules, cells, tissues, and living organisms, and deepen the understanding from the perspective of preventive medicine.
