Course description
We will stduy and discuss about safety and public opinion ragarding the gene modified organisms. We will also study about Bt insecticidal proteins and its application to gene modified organisms.
Expected Learning
Gene modified food (GMF) is a subject of interdiciplinaly region which is involved in diploma policy of our department. Students establish their own opinion regarding the benefit, problems and safety of GMF and Bt insecticidal proteins via reviewing information using internet and discussion

1. Introduction (basic knowledge about GMF)
2. GMF and emotion of Japanese
3. GMF and Japanese market
4. BT food made by gene introduction of BT toxin
