・ The lecture are provided by two instructors as below. You are required to submit the preliminary assignments for each lectures. FLOuRISH Institute Office will inform the students about the preliminary assignments by email.

The series of "Special Lectures for Innovation Advancement I - V" is an opportunity for the students to consider and learn about the processes, examples, and abilities necessary to connect ideas based on research and science to the real society, to initiate innovation, and to create and establish new value. The course is offered to first through third year doctoral students.

The course theme: “Global Communication”
It is time now to communicate and expand your research globally. In this course, as a global Ph.D. human resources, students will train international communication skills in English, which is necessary for self-introduction and promotion, persuasive explanation of research, its appeal, obtaining of research fund, constructive discussion with others, and positive and comfortable collaboration with global partners, etc.

This course will be held in English.
Expected Learning
- Be able to think concretely the methods to communicate students’ own outcomes from research or other activities and to approach to the ideal future by understanding the concept of self-branding.
- Be able to consider the appropriate communication according to the audience and purposes, and put it into practice.
- Be able to notice about “Kaizen (improvement)” of your way of communication.
- Be able to flexibly improve your communication skill in English.

Theme: Speaking with Impact
By the end of this session, participants will be able to use innovative communication tools to design communication strategies for global business, enabling them to speak more persuasively to a wider and non-academic online audience. Activities will feature best practices for designing more assertive and strategic approaches to selling your work & message.
