Course description |
5, 17, 2021 ( Mon ) 10:00 -17:00 Online class "Mammalian reproductive assist technology" At present, individual production by reproductive assist technology (ART) is attracting attention not only in humans but also in livestock. In cattle, it has been reported that more than half of the embryos produced in the world are derived from in vitro fertilized embryos, and ART plays a crucial role in livestock production. In the first half, I will introduce an overview of embryo transfer, which is the main technology of ART, and recent research topics. In the second half, I will introduce the in vitro maturation, which is the basic technology of ART, and the research trends in the world, including the research we have conducted. |
Expected Learning |
First half Understanding from fertilization of mammals to pregnancy recognition Can consider novel livestock production technology that makes full use of ART Second half Understanding mechanism of oocyte maturation Can consider how to apply basic knowledge about oocyte maturation |
Course schedule |
First half "Basics and applications of embryo transplantation" 1. Pregnancy recognition from the establishment of fertilization 2. Overview and application of IVF-ET Second half "In vitro production of oocyte" 1. Mechanism of oocyte maturation and acquisition of developmental competence 2. In vitro maturation and production of the oocyte |
