The course will be held on November 8, 2021, online. This lecture systematically studies the theme of farm animal welfare, which is also an interdisciplinary field. This is a lecture course to acquire a high degree of specialized ability in the field of biological production science by learning the latest knowledge and technology in agriculture.

Expected Learning |
In this lecture, you will be able to scientifically explain the ethics of farm animal welfare. In addition, you will be able to explain the current state of the world, including Japan. Please refer to the curriculum map of the course guide.

Course schedule |
In this lecture, (1) What is livestock welfare? Starting from, (2) after understanding the global situation, (3) we will consider the balance between welfare and productivity as an issue in Japan. Depending on the progress of the lesson, the lesson content may be revised, and in some cases, market research will be conducted.

Prerequisites |
In addition to the 7.5 hours of class time and the time required to create reports, etc., refer to the distributed lecture materials and reference books, and prepare and review according to the standard number of hours of the university.

Class participation attitude 50%: Attendance and survey are evaluated.
