Course description
The infectious diseases in cattle, sheep, goat, horse, pig, monkey, murine and rabbit, bee, mink, wild animal, dog and cat are explained. Students could learn the etiology, epidemiology, pathogenicity, clinical sign, diagnostics and prophylaxis. Characteristics of diseases and disease control methods are also explained.
Expected Learning
Students could explain the the etiology, epidemiology, pathogenicity, clinical sign, diagnostics, prophylaxis, characteristics, disease control methods of infectious diseases in animals mentioned above.
Course schedule
General remarks of infectious diseases must have been learned in Veterinary Microbiology and Veterinary Immunology classes. In this lecture, students could learn mainly each infectious diseases in animals mentioned above. The lists shown below is prepared according to the core-curriculum based textbook, however, actual lecture is not totally divided by animal species. Some infectious diseases would be explained combined with several animal species when it has academic reasons.

Assessment/Grading
Grading is done by examination.
Students will not be able to take the examination when the student exceed 1/3 of absences.
Message from instructor(s)
Slides used in lecture are not distributed, basically. Students must learn based on text books and publishments. Students must bring text book to the lecture. I recommend to purchase the text books above. Students should learn with color atlas. The lecture of general remarks of infectious diseases is only two hours, however, the contents are important and necessary for understanding all of infectious diseases, so students who have not understand must review by themselves.
