Course description |
This is a part of the Courses of Animal Production Science, and its completion is recommended for students in the Department of Biological Production. [Class Overview] Purpose: (1) Livestock means animals that have been improved and bred to improve human lives. Food produced by livestock (milk, meat, eggs, etc.) contributes significantly to the Japanese diet in terms of calorie and protein supply, and serves as the basis for a rich diet. The purpose of this lecture is to understand the characteristics of livestock producing animal foods and the basics of technology supporting the livestock industry. In fact, we want you to understand how animal food is produced and supplied with what technology. Overview: 1. Livestock Origins, Classification and Characteristics (1) Outline the basic characteristics of livestock production for livestock species and their varieties. 2. Technology related to livestock production Describes technology related to livestock breeding, breeding, breeding based on nutritional physiology and health management. |

Prerequisites |
There are no special requirements, but it is the basis for acquiring livestock and animal related classes from the second year onwards.
