Course description
[Course objective] In this course, Biochemistry I, the students learn the structures, chemical and physical properties and interactions of biomolecules such as amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and their complexes.

[Course synopsis] Biochemistry is the investigation of the molecular basis of life. The students should understand the chemical and physical properties of biological molecules influence their function as the biochemical baseline knowledge.

Expected Learning
- Understanding the structures and functions of essential molecules that are composed of bioorganisms
- Understanding the physiological roles of biomolecules

Corresponding criteria in the Diploma Policy: (B)
