Course description |
A class: Nutritional physiological chemistry and experiment in cell engineering. Students are expected to master handling of biological samples, and aseptic procedure (sterile culture) via the experiments relevant to nutritional physiological chemistry and cell engineering. Measurement of the net weight and purity of certain protein within the food intake, isolation of rat skin-derived fibroblast cells, growth analysis of culture cells and immune blotting with specific antibody will be planned/provided. B class: Experiment on insect physiology, plant disease and tissue culture will be provided. |

B class: Experiment on insect physiology, plant disease and tissue culture will be provided. Transfer of culture cells: learn aseptic procedure (sterile culture). Isolate primary cells from animal body and observe the cells. Observation of chromosome of culture cells and discuss on the increase of chromosome during the culture period. Experiment on plant disease/pathogen: isolate, culture and observe plant pathogen.
