Course description |
Purpose is to acquire fundamental knowledge on the utilization of woody biomass. This class is an introduction to the wood and forest resource classes that will be given later in the course. The class is designed to provide students for understanding of the science and engineering of forest resources incorporated with cutting-edge technology and recent issues related to the use of forest resources such as wood, woody materials, paper, and cellulose, or woody biomass. One or two lectures will be given by faculty members who conduct education and research on forest resources in the Department of Environmental and Resource Sciences. |
Expected Learning |
Understanding utilizations of forest resouces (forest products) in viewpoint of biology, chmeistry, physics and technology. Corresponding criteria in the Diploma policy: See the curriculum maps. https://www.tuat.ac.jp/campuslife_career/campuslife/policy/ |
Course schedule |
