Field trip for practices in the university forest in order to understanding forestry, natural resources, forest products, reforesting and experimental education for forest environmental education. |
Expected Learning |
Understanding and explaining functions of forest, forest ecology, forest resources, forestry, forest environmental education. Learning the historty of pollution and afforestation in Ashio city. laarning utilization of timber from forest thinning. Inviting children and citizens to forest, and instructing forest environmental education by hands-on natural experimental learning. Course schedule |
Field trip for 4 days, from 12 Sep. to 15 Sep. 1-day: Departure 8:00 (Fuchu Campus). Visiting a factory of chopstic manufacture from thinning log. 2-day: Field work in experimental forest, thinning, disbranching. 3-day: Field work in experimental forest, planting seedling, analysis of tree stem. 4-day: Field work in Ashio, historty of pollution and afforestation. Arriving 17:00 or later, depend on the traffic (Fuchu Campus) |
