Course description
We study engineering ethics in this class. For prospective engineers, to obtain knowledge about ethics, to master a custom to think about with your mind, and to be able to think according to the engineering ethics, those are subjects in the class.
This course is offered as a one of the Scientific General Education courses of the Global Liberal Arts Studies.
This course is designed by the lecturer having record of business experience. The lecturer is engaged in business conformed to engineering ethics as the Professional Engineer, Japan (Applied Science discipline). The lectures are designed based on his firsthand experiences such as research and development, design and manufacturing of apparatus.

Expected Learning
Master on the knowledge and the way of thinking about the ethics necessary for engineers. Master on ability such as investigating reliability of the information. And master the ability of right analysis and right judgement with logically and ethically. The lecturer assumes these as the standards to be achieved.

Assessment/Grading
The examination and reports are assumed 80% of the whole, and the class participation points are assumed 20% of the whole in assessment.
The pass condition about presence: more than 11 days (more than 70%) .

The lecturer hopes that students will become excellent engineers having high senses about ethics.
Recently, the occurrences that are lacked of the knowledge as engineers and researchers seem to remarkably increase.
We consider about various problems to live admirably as the engineers, and, please consider various ways.
