Course description |
This course is offered as one of the Extended General Education courses of the Global Integrated Studies. While focusing on expertise in agriculture or engineering, the aim is to impart professional skills needed to be active in companies, research institutions, and other organizations. In particular, students are challenged with thinking about questions with no answer, and topics with high uncertainty, and they consider things like process design and output methods for deriving the best solution under constrained conditions. Students are also exposed, through actual team activities, to the methods of management needed to produce excellent results as a team. |

*An intensive course of 15 classes will be held over four days, as indicated below. 1st class: Orientation―What is a professional? 2nd class: Distinguishing features of professionals from the perspective of industry trends 3rd class: Thinking methods―Types and implementation 4th class: Thinking about topics with high uncertainty 5th class: Group discussions ① trans-science 6th class: Group discussions ② Theme Setting 7th class: Presentations ① 8th class: Presentations ② 9th class: Refinement from a critical perspective 10th class: Group discussions ③ marketing 11th class: Group discussions ④ value 12th class: Group discussions ⑤ idea building 14th class: Presentations ④ 15th class: Wrap-up Regular exam ※You need to study for hour 30 hours. In addition, you also need for 90-hour learning in this class. |
Prerequisites |
・This course focuses on activities such as team discussions and presentations. ・The course also serves as a basic required course in the Science-Based Visionary Leader Program. Through activities in this class, students participating in the program make one selection for Prior Training I. ・The class codes for Google Classroom will be provided to students individually after the drawing. |
