Course description |
Chemical kinetics (reaction kinetics), which is the study quantitatively and/or theoretically dealing with rate of chemical processes, provides a useful methodology for understanding and elucidating a reaction mechanism. This lecture gives an explanation for the definition of reaction rates, reaction rate laws, reaction mechanisms and so on. Participants should take “Calculus”, “Physical Chemistry I”, and “Physical Chemistry II”. 【classcode】f3csovl |
Expected Learning |
1) Participants can solve a reaction rate equation using a differential equation. 2) Participants can give an explanation for the reaction mechanism using the concept of the kinetics. Corresponding criteria in the Diploma Policy: See the Curriculum maps. |
