Course description |
The aim of this course is to understand the concepts of thermodynamics and statistical mechanics and describe chemical equilibrium and phase equilibrium. The lecture will start with a brief review of the lows of thermodynamics and definitions of thermodynamic potentials. |
Expected Learning |
Learners who complete this course will be able to: ・understand the laws of thermodynamics and use thermodynamic potentials ・describe chemical thermodynamics of reactions ・describe thermal equilibrium behaviors of systems ・understand phase transition Corresponding criteria in the Diploma Policy: See the Curriculum maps. |
