Course description |
The security of IT technologies used everyday are based on the cryptography. The cryptography has been used mainly for military application for a long time, but a systematic study of cryptography has started quite recently. In this course, the basic concept of security, how to construct secure cipher system, and practically used schemes are explained. |

Prerequisites |
This course is a basic class, and it will be a basis for more advanced courses. In addition to 30 hours that students spend in the class, students are recommended to prepare for and revise the lectures, spending the standard amount of time as specified by the University and using the lecture handouts as well as the references specified below. |
