Course description
Aiming at strengthening skills for master thesis research, course participant will collect information on research field and literature, practice observation and interviews, conduct social experiments, etc., and acquire new research methods and knowledge. Working with the sub-supervisor, participant will increase ability of conducting research in the specialized field by assessing the validity of analysis, discussion, expression method, etc. of the research results.
Expected Learning
Course participant will learn the logical system of agricultural science, basic knowledge and application essential to the scientific pursuits, and the ability to apply them horizontally. Participant will develop the ability to compile and publish research results while respecting research ethics. Participant will acquire advanced professional skills, as well as wide view and high insight, and become able to conduct research to solve problems.

Course schedule
1st hour: Introduction - information exchange on master thesis research, confirmation of research concept and supervision
2nd to 15th hours: Guidance of sub-supervisor - participant will confirm research concept and plan, and share information and receive advice on research. According to the progress and development of the research, participant will report and present the summary, analysis and interpretation of the research results, and the plan for further study. Through feedback from the sub-supervisor, participant will obtain useful information on the master thesis, and receive advice for research presentation and thesis writing. Applicability of research results will also be discussed.
Prerequisites
This is an elective subject of Special Study Group B designed for students of October enrollment. Students enrolled in April should take an elective subject of Special Study Group A.

Participants will conduct preparation and review of classes for standard hours set by the University.
