Course description
This course introduces students to the field of phonetics, the study of the sounds of speech. The course touches on a wide range of topics, from linguistics to aerodynamics, from cognitive science to kinesiology. This 15-week course wide provide a big picture overview of the field.
Expected Learning
Students will gain:
1) an understanding of the basics of phonetics.
2) a grasp of the major research methods of phonetics.
