Course description
With respect to semiconductor devices which are the heart of various modern information communication devices, we learn what kind of characteristics and features various semiconductor thin films have, keeping in mind the fundamental concept of device operation, as well as technicians and researchers in this field We understand widely from basic principle to usage method concerning various evaluation techniques for evaluating those required as. We will develop discussion on the basis that we have basic knowledge of undergraduate lecture "Electronic Physics Engineering", "Electronic Device" and "Electronic Circuit".
Expected Learning
On the premise that you have knowledge of the basic operation principle of various semiconductor devices,
It becomes possible to understand and explain the meaning of each physical property value of a semiconductor device which determines their operation.
In addition, with regard to various evaluation techniques for evaluating these physical property values, learn and understand the measurement principle, interpretation of data, feedback method of evaluation results, etc.
The above skills necessary for next generation semiconductor device engineers are acquired.

1st Attitude as a technician: Based on Japan's past trend of technological progress, I will present my opinion on the ability considered necessary as a technician.
2nd Operation of Various Semiconductor Devices (1): Consider the meaning of various physical properties of element materials constituting a semiconductor device.
3rd Operation of Various Semiconductor Devices (2): Outlines the operating principle of semiconductor devices with bipolar transistors as the center.
4th Operation of various semiconductor devices (3): Explain the operating principle of semiconductor devices mainly for MOSFET.
5th Factor Determining the Operation of Various Devices (1): Consider the influence of each property value of semiconductor thin film material on the operation of various semiconductor devices.
6th Factor to Determine the Operation of Various Devices (2): Consider the influence of various physical properties of metal / insulator thin film materials on the operation of various semiconductor devices.
7th General Theory of Evaluation Technology (1): Definition of various terms as the basis of evaluation technology and its meaning are explained.
8th General Theory of Evaluation Technology (2): Various evaluation techniques for evaluating are classified into input type and output type, and the interaction caused by each input is described.
9th General Theory of Evaluation Technology (3): Think about the output species obtained as a result of various interactions between input species and substances and their physical meanings.
10th Evaluation Technique and Its Practice (1): We will describe the data obtained and the physical meaning of the electronic input - electronic output system frequently used for various thin film evaluations.
11th Evaluation technology and its practice (2): I will explain the data obtained and the physical meaning of electromagnetic wave input - electromagnetic wave output system.
12th Evaluation Technique and Its Practice (3): We will describe the data obtained and the physical meaning of the electromagnetic wave input - electronic output system.
13th Evaluation technology and its practice (4): I will explain the data obtained and the physical meaning of ion input - ion output system.
14th Evaluation Technique of Semiconductor Devices (1): The electrical evaluation technology of various semiconductor devices will be explained.
15th Evaluation Technique of Semiconductor Device (2): I will explain the concept of electric evaluation and physical / chemical evaluation.
Prerequisites
It is desirable to have basic knowledge of the operating principle of semiconductor devices, especially the relation between energy band diagram and electrical characteristics.
