Course description
The course aims to provide state-of-the-art technologies on water and environmental technologies. Given that we are in the century of "water," the course consists of diversified topics associated with water and wastewater engineering, nutrient management, greenhouse gas emissions, and viruses management.

Lectures will be delivered by guest lecturers (TBD), who are leading the fields. Students will learn the lecture's contents by pre-literature survey, listen to lectures, discuss the contents after each lecture, and summarize a report. The course will equip students with specialized knowledge on the above-mentioned topics, communication skills, and scientific writing skills.
Expected Learning
The course aims to equip students with cutting-edge technologies battling against challenges concerning water, nutrient, and climate changes. Throughout the discussion and subsequent reports, students are expected to deepen their knowledge of environmental technologies and to learn logical thinking and scientific writing. The lectures will be given online.
Course schedule
The course consists of online intensive lectures, which will be irregularly held. The details of the schedule will be announced by the end of September.

Lecture and discussion 1: Centralized and decentralized wastewater treatment facilities: Challenges and opportunities
Lecture and discussion 2: Viruses in wastewater treatment facilities
Lecture and discussion 3: Drinking water microbiomes
Lecture and discussion 4: Nutrient management
