Course description |
This course will contribute to cultivation of students’ ability to conduct research and development on their own initiative and is recommended to be registered at the 2nd year of Master course. It is important for researchers to communicate with each other by presentation and discussion about the contents of own research. The students will give faculty staffs and other students a presentation on the progress of their own research subjects, and then discuss with them. The aim of the course is that each student find a new research subject and information, which help their own research. |

The standard of the course is to give a presentation on the progress of their own research subjects as well as meaningful discussion with faculty staffs and other students at the master thesis interim presentation Corresponding criteria in the Diploma Policy: See the Curriculum maps. |
Course schedule |
In this course, participation at the master thesis interim presentation is mandatory. The students will give faculty staffs and other students a short talk and a poster presentation on the progress of their own research subjects. The students must submit a report on the questions at the discussion and the response to the questions. |
Prerequisites |
This course is not a compulsory subject, but presentation at the interim presentation is necessary for completion of the master course. Therefore, the registration is strongly recommended. In completing this course, students will spend at least the standard amount of time as specified by the University following the adviser's guidance. |

Evaluation will be done on the basis of students' attitude at a class, contents of presentation, and reports. |
